On May 9, 2022, the Philippines will be conducting its next national and local elections. Over 18,000 posts, including the highest positions in the government as well as 12 seats in the senate will be at stake.

Last October 1 to 8, aspirants flocked to the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila to file their certificates of candidacy (COC) with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the 2022 polls. A total of 97 aspirants for president, 29 aspirants for vice-president, and 176 aspirants for senator successfully filed their COCs.

Comelec is expected to release an official list of candidates once they have been filtered by the office. Disqualifications by law and nuisance candidates will be taken into account. Unless any changes are made to their calendar of events, the list will be up on Comelec’s website by October 29, 2021.

Below is a list detailing the names of aspirants for president, vice-president, and senator who filed their COCs, including the political parties they will be running under:
